Before you post a topic about a scratch built amp, do these steps first
You will most likely be asked if you have completed these steps first.

Go here and do this double check first
http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=17701.0
Many problems are fixed by doing this
You have the amp in front of you and it is easier for you to do this than to ask others to do this for you

If your scratch built amp is one of the Hoffman turret boards, make sure you have looked at every document on the library page here
http://el34world.com/schematics.htm

Find your board on the library page and then look at all the documents under that section

You will see these documents for each board
Layout diagram with the schematic included <- this is very important
Bill of materials for each board - BOM
Some of my Turret boards have build pages with pictures that may be helpful
Link to my turret board page if needed - http://hoffmanamps.com/MyStore/catalog/TurretBoardMobile.htm
Link to my Parts list page if needed - http://hoffmanamps.com/MyStore/catalog/PartsListIndex.htm

Do not skip over these two documents
Hookup notes for Hoffman boards

Board install instructions
http://el34world.com/Hoffman/instructions.htm

Take voltage readings of your tubes in case someone on the forum needs to see those readings
Voltage readings are like heart beat and blood pressure readings that your doctor uses to diagnose your health issues
The tubes need to be in the amp, the amp needs to be on and the power tubes biased properly to get any sort of meaningful voltage readings

This page is linked in the Board install instructions - Grounding info

This page is linked on the library page - Filter cap solutions
