Not the best sound quality - but here's me playing slide guitar at a local jam.  The guitar is a Gibson L6-S, unfortunately through a SS amp.

Cool,
Can't hear you very well though.

Man, that bass player is a tall dude!

Thanks guys.  The bassist, Phil, IS tall; and his fingers are just as long & slender as they look in the first few seconds of the video.  It's not an optical illusion!  I'll try & get the guys to improve their sound recording techniques; and maybe leave a tube amp there for mo' better tone.

It would be great to hear you playin with them with one of your own builds. You guys sound good together.

It looked like you were playin with your fingers (right hand) and not a pick? Took me a while to get the hang of that but I like the sound better myself.

Thanks for your kind comments.  Eric & I have been doing a regular acoustic gig every Wed, and have rehearsed.  Eric is the lead singer & other guitarist.  At this electric jam the other guys are pick-up players.  Phil is a professional bassist; don't know the drummer.

In this video, I am playing with bare fingers, no pick.  Sometimes for el slide solo, I'll  use a flatpick, usually only in standard tuning.  But for more complex slide arrangements I use my fingers -- thumb & index finger.  I almost never use any other fingers for any style of playing.  For acoustic slide, to be heard, I might use a plastic thumb pick & a metal finger pick.

I often play runs in double notes, played 2 strings apart (with 1 string not played in between).  The string in between is either discordant, or if harmonic, too may notes.  So it's really not possible to do with a flatpick.
