I have a late sevenites Randall RB 60 watt bass amp. I have replaced the orig. 15 inch spkr with a better quality one and I have done a thorough cap swap-out on the board. It runs quiet and smooth and has nice tone and there's no real urgency, but I would like an opinion on changing the power transistors. It uses 2 of the metal lay down type trans. to put out about 30 watts each. Does it make any sense to try and find a set of replacement trans. that have a higher amplification? In other words, can I make this amp stronger with just a simple transistor swap? Or, does that create a whole chain of events where all the up or downstream values on parts need to be changed too?

thanks in advance amigos

No, you will not get more power. The transistors just pass power, don't "make" power.

Do NOT mess with healthy power transistors. This usually ends badly.
