Here is the recipe for aluminum (chassis) solder with tin

I've found this old recipe about how is possible to obtain a metal alloy

to be used to braze welding aluminium with tin

the recipe is for 1 Kg of alloy

Quote
ingredients:

. 800gr of pure tin 100%

. 200gr zinc

. a piece of pure aluminium 10mm x 50mm x 1mm

1) Take 200gr of tin and the piece of alluminium and make them melt completely (together)

2) Merge the material just melted with the remaining tin and zinc

3) Cool the alloy slowly and never with water, then form thin rods to be used

This alloy is to be used without acids

Now you can braze welding your own aluminium chassis by yourself

K
