HAMMOND AO43 INTO WHAT?

Just picked up an AO43
I all ready have a 50wt plexi  and a 18wt tmb/plex. I need to come up with a plan for some thing nice to build into the AO43.
Im am not an electrical genius but I do good work . and if i get on the right track I can make it happen
I need some suggestions. Preferably some thing with a lay out available.

The PT and OT will also work well with a push/pull pair of 6V6s. So, a Fender single channel AB763 would be a good candidate and would fit the AO43 chassis. Lot more possibilities when you include 6V6s in the choices.

I have a couple AO43s and will probably use the iron from one for a 6V6 plexi, although I plan to use a new chassis.

I have a laney aor30 with 6v6 that sounds great. I really like the deluxe reverb,and blues jr, I dont really think I would use a band master.
Would Doug's blues jr lay out fit well with the Hammond  OT and PT  ?

I would think so, but Doug's boards are 3.125" wide and would take a lot of planning to put in that narrow AO43 chassis. The Hammond PT and OT would do well in a Deluxe Reverb circuit using a 3.125" wide board and a 6.5" wide chassis.

Yep, that's me, and it does take a bit of planning to fit a 3.125 board into those chassis.  The one limiting factor is there is no bias tap on the PT, but I know bias could be taken of the HT.  I am planning to do a single channel BF Deluxe TMB, (no effects) if I find another chassis reasonably.

Other than that, just about any 18watt circuit can be stuffed in there, Lightning, Spitfire, Stout,, or any cathode biased 6V6 circuit, 5E3, etc.  Neat chassis', and with one side being blank, you can set up any control layout you want.

The only reason I have not took interest in the matchless lightning is that I have no idea what they sound like-does it compare to- marshall, fender .
what do you think of the gain and master volume?

He was not referring to using heater wires to build bias. HT refers to High Tension. He's talking about using the high voltage winding as a source for the bias circuit. Look at the Princeton reverb schematic for an example.

Lot's of people like a Lightning amp. I built one and never did bond with it. Last year it became a donor for an AC-15. BTW, AC15 is another candidate for your AO43, but you may have to deal with too much B+. Using a NOS 5Y3 may drop the B+ down to a good AC15 territory.

Thanks for clearing up that HT for me. I have been listening to a lot of demos on you tube, not sure my laptop speakers are helping. Matchless sounded good but came off a little thinner than what i am used to. ac15 sounded nice. It seems every one is using a different guitar
and a different style than I would use that takes some of the value out of the demos for me.

I much prefer the sound of the AC15 to the Lightning. I actually have two AC15s. One is an electronic copy of the 1960 AC15 with Vibrato. This one is too busy for the AO43 chassis. The other is a Lite version with EF86 preamp only. It's built into an AO39 chassis which is smaller than the AO43 chassis. Have a look. It may give you some ideas...

 Looking at your ac 15 lite , Is that a volume , tone and 5 way tone range selector?

Left to right... 6 position Brilliance switch, VOL, CUT. Look at schematic.

I like what you did with  your ac15. Thats real old school. That's the first time I have seen a cut or heard of that terminology. My plexi 50 has a PPIMV some thing like that. I guess I am out of touch. If a make a ac15 I will try to do it like that.
