What is the Brown eye mod??

I'm seeing reference to the Friedman Brown Eye mod on several Marshall circuits in amps out there.  Anyone know what that is?

Sorry, couldn't hep meself...

From what I read, it is a mod that Jose Arrendondos pioneered and then gooped up with some black silicon.  The name lovingly refers to the guy trying to keep his work a secret.  Like on Katie77 link, the schemo's are on the slocloneforums.  Not a member so cant help you out.  Sorry if you already know this...

Well it's good to have some time on my hands to be back.  Ok, well I must be dense.  I didn't get the hint from Katie77.  I'll try the SloClone forum.  Thanks

Or just the "Friedman Schematics" link within the 1st post on the thread Katie77 linked?

Though you can't tell at first, the schematic under that is for the Friedman BE-100 (Brown Eye 100).

Ok, the file names were all truncated so I didn't look close enough.  So I'm assuming this is a preamp mod which adds gain.  I'll peruse that schematic.  Thanks HBP

Agree, the file names made it so you didn't know what you're clicking.

The Brown Eye 100 appears to encompass lots of changes to the standard Marshall circuit (especially a different clean path with a plate-loaded EQ after the 1st gain stage). So there's a lot to compare/contrast against a Plexi schematic.
