Layout for small DR single channel

I'm laying out a build for single channel Deluxe Reverb, using Doug's board.  The goal is to reduce the size of the chassis as much as possible -- yet maintain low noise and no hum.   Previous DR builds for me have been very quiet.   I'm not trying to build a "mini" or "micro" version, just keep the physical size down.

My question is:  How closely spaced can a PT, choke, and OT be and remain quiet, assuming one orients each of the transformers correctly?

Related question:  What is the optimum position for a reverb transformer?  I have had problems with reverb hum in the past, and have wondered about this as a cause.

I'd like to keep all of the transformers as far away from the input as possible. 

And try to keep the hummm out of the reverb.

Well, considering that I've seen some amps with the transformers placed right next to each other, I'd think your layout should work pretty well.

If only Fender made a smaller than a DR, single channel, 2 power tube amp with trem and reverb whose physical layout you could just copy . . .

I recently finished this amp in a compact chassis - Hoffman Stout. Here's how I configured the TX's. It's a very quiet amp (I got a lot of help from sluckey). But, I don't have a reverb TX.

the only place i'd locate a reverb transformer in that chassis is internally, away from the power section, or on the back, again, away from the power switch and high current PS circuit elements.

IME, a modified plexi chassis (use 2 inputs) is good fit. also, have a look at the 17"x 6" chassis that doug sells as an option.

Interested in your comment about the reverb transformer -- is there a disadvantage to the usual Fender layout with the transformer outside the chassis and near the transformer recovery tube?     Would inside the chassis really be helpful?  (I won't have room for that, but am curious).

I think he's talking about that tiny 12" chassis in post #4. There's plenty of room on your 20" chassis.

A princeton reverb chassis? That's single channel. Should be easy to adapt...
