Impedance selector wiring
« on: February 23, 2025, 03:22:32 pm »
Stupid question.

After trying to not use an impedance switch and having a plethora of problems. I’ve decided to install one , few prolly dumb questions tho.

I have a 3 pole selector and only 2 tap? What safety resistor should I add to the third pole for momentary ot safety.

I’m only using 1 jack. The schematic shows the ot common going to one side of the cliff jack and the other side of that jack being a ground . Is this correct? Assuming the cliff jack doesn’t disconnect it?

Inspect your switch closely. Some of those three position switches have an adjustable stop that can be set to only allow two selections. Otherwise,

No safety resistor. I would just put a jumper between two of the selector lugs. Like this...
