NOOOO! I saw him once, and I was hoping to see him again! Once was not enough by any means. What a great guitarist!

Yeah, he could play and then some. Only 58? (shakin my head, hangin down) I'd say he was about as good as it gets.

I saw Thin Lizzy a couple of times at the Aragon Ballroom in Chgo. 75/76, but it was Brian Robertson (I think) red headed kid, another very young gun who was in the band at the time.

Would have loved to see him play, but now a days, we got you-tube.

Not a good sign that they did'nt mention cause of death, but maybe it's too early to know.

Thanks Geezer for lettin us know.

Dang.

Still Got the Blues is one of my favorites of his. The guitar just soars on that one.

Thanks geezer. Great player. Always liked Thin Lizzie. I was really liking his newer stuff too i.e. Bad For You Baby. RIP

Sad to hear he is gone!

Ironically, my son turned me on to Gary Moore. I always thought it was very cool that despite being a great player that he was humble enough to honor & acknowledge individuals like Albert Collins and Albert King.

Gary and BB King trading licks on Thrill is Gone. BB seemed to be really enjoying Gary's playing:
