The reverb transformer does not need to be different for a revibe versus a 6G15. Any single-ended OT for a 6V6 should work for either unit (assuming you are driving the reverb with a 6V6), so thats something like 5k to 8k, depending on the voltages you're running for the 6V6. After all, the reverb driver side is basically just a variant of a fender champ.
A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a work station.

The built-in reverbs used a small tube (12AT7) with a small high-impedance (15K-25K) transformer.

The stand-alone reverb used a big tube (6F6/6V6) with a larger transformer of somewhat lower impedance (5K-10K).

The "big rig" hits the spring harder, you get more out of the spring, allowing huge surf with not so much hiss, or moderate reverb with hardly any hiss.

Probably if the "big" reverb were stuffed "built-in" to a complete amplifier, the heat weight and cost would be excessive.

You could re-design the Revibe to use the smaller 12AT7 and small RT from built-in reverb designs. Save a buck or three. Hardly worth it since it's the same case, nearly the same power supply, etc.

They are talking about two different comparisons. Tubeswell is discussing the two units you asked about, Revibe versus 6G15. The reverb portion of the Revibe is just like a 6G15. Transformers are the same.

PRR was comparing a typical Fender built in reverb circuit such as found in a Super Reverb amp to the 6G15. Totally different circuits that use totally different transformers.

When you say there is a difference of 18.00 to 30.00, which two transformers are you speaking about?

I recently built a Revibe and I used Weber's W022905 transformer. Cost $25.00
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
