Show us your breadboard!

Hey guys!!

I'm building a breadboard, it is very simple and cheap    it is almost done !
I would like to hear some suggestions and see what breadboard you guys have !!   

I tried to find a full picture of Willabe's breadboard but no luck.

Do a search and find them, if you haven't already. 

Dummy Load and Sliver Gun have their bread boards posted, both very good. I copied most of mine from there's.

1 thing I didn't do, that I would do now, is use that metal track for any/all preamp/small tubes.

I did and read all of them!! I'm hopping people to post new pictures.

You mean the piece to attach the preamp sockets ?
It was part of a R2R chassis, I did cut it, to have the parts to make the BB !!
Why would you do it that way now ?

Here you go uki:
-1st pic is the one that got me inspired. Mine never would have been without seeing this.
-2nd pic is the first one I built which is full size and has a separate variac driven power supply that I attach to it.
-3rd pic is the second one I built that was intended to do SE and small cathode biased designs.

You mean the piece to attach the preamp sockets ? It was part of a R2R chassis, I did cut it, to have the parts to make the BB !! Why would you do it that way now?

Dummy Load made his so he could swap out tube sockets. He used the rail for this option. SG, used the rail for power tubes, but came up with a different way for preamp tubes, it works just as well.

I put 6 @ 9 pin preamp sockets on a fiberglass board. It works, but I'd like to be able to maybe try 7 pin tubes?

And I don't always need 6 preamp tubes. But I may need a another 9 pin tube or 2 for something someday, Maggie stereo vibrato.       But for now I'm kind of stuck with the 6 @ 9 pin sockets.

@silvergun your BBs does look good, I like that rail thing for the power tubes !! Those types of sockets are no where to be found here, oversea shipping is now days way too expensive, I wish those were available here.
Your BBs does give lots of ideas !!

@Willabe moving parts on the BB is handy, rails !!! gotta think on that !! All parts on my BB can be detached and moved, the easier to do it the merrier!

Surely they are. Those are actually relay sockets and are very common in industrial control circuits, big engine generator controls, elevator controls, etc. Look at some industrial control parts suppliers.

I forgot to mention currency, it is R$5,13 to 1US$. This is why is expensive. At Newark 4 pieces goes for 41,01 pluss 9,99 shipping,  US$51,03 total, times 5,13 = R$261,78 ... it is too much. Tubes are terribly expensive now days, check out: https://www.multcomercial.com.br/audio-parts/valvulas.html  this is the store I usually buy electronic parts, there are a few others to buy tube parts.

I got regular sockets to put in the BB, for now those will work, ill look into relay sockets as Sluckey suggested!

Those prices look spotty to my eyes. $31 for a premium 12AT7 which "should" be nearer $20, but I would have predicted $40 because Brazil has import tax often equal to the open market price. This does encourage many local industries which would otherwise flood with Asian products. A friend in Argentina has seen this from both sides.

When I think back to prices of beef, gasoline, and tubes in the 1970s, I disagree that prices are prohibitive. Gasoline is up 10X and a 12AT7 is up just about 10X. "My" economic scale may be different in places where cars and tubes were rare 50 years ago. Or where beef was common, as in Argentina some years.
