1x10" combo vs 1x12"....too little low end?

I had a 10" combo for a short time till i returned it. But in the time i had it i tried a creamback 10 in it and tried to sell it locally after i returned the combo but it never sold. So with my recently resurrected 25 watt 6V6 combo that has a celestion 12" 100w in it i began wondering whether it would cut it in a band context if i made an adapter and put the creamback in it. I hesitate to do it for fear the first time i use it in the band (2 weeks from now) i will be stuck with a sound that has no lows to speak of. Has anyone used a 1x10" combo in a band setting successfully? The creamback by the way is 45w and my tranny has a 16 ohm tap so good to go there. I never used that 10" combo i returned live before i returned it so i have no idea how it would have cut it because at home i can't get loud.

25 watt 6V6 combo? more than 2 6V6s? Anyways, I think the amp and speaker are interdependent. Some amps sound great with a 10" speaker. Princeton Browns and Reverbs for example - also Tweed Harvards and small Valcos. Plenty of bass in my opinion. Have used a Princeton Reverb in a band setting, but the stock speaker was replaced with a 10" Alnico Weber. Caveat - my band pretty much sucked.

It's more or less a sort of 2x6V6 marshall.

So maybe similar to the plexi 6V6 that many on the Forum have built. I built one - haven't played it much, but I ended up matching it up with a 12" Greenback. I don't recall every trying it with a 10" speaker. Maybe others here have tried various speakers. 2x6V6 is about 10-15 watts so lots of options. But who the heck has the time and $$ to test a whole bunch of speakers. Why not put the Creamback in an extension cab? You can then play through either or both. I remember with my Princeton Reverb it was hard to get over the drummer without micing the amp. I think I had it up around 8 which required turning the bass way down to avoid the flabs. Not much help, I know - sorry.

Well, yeah, i'd love to try it in a ex cab but i don't have one so i'd have to buy a cab or make one just to know if it would be worthwhile.

Having the 12 and 10 together would definitely be worthwhile, if you can match the sec impedance of the speakers to the 6V6s
