« on: July 29, 2025, 03:06:23 pm »
I want remove the PC boards from my 65 deluxe reverb reissue, and install Eyelet boards and small parts from Hoffman...
Can I use existing transformers for this project.

Thanks in advance

Yes. Duplicate the dual stage filtering on the bias supply shown in the reissue schematic, though.

Hi Jaster
Ive done a few of these. The Fender DRRI makes a FANTASTIC donor amp. Proved to be very stable rebuilds. As requested by my friends, I've kept the Transformers, Tubes+Sockets and heater wiring, Speaker and reverb tank. Double check all the tubes sockets as I have found "dags" of solder which flowed touching chassis and poor joints in heater wiring. REMOVE C31/R65 and fit s/c! Very unreliable PS section. Fit 47u 600V or 500V F&T Electro, you won't be sorry. Check C33 and C34, be vigilant and replace if req, esp C33.
Good luck and keep us posted
Regards
Mirek

If you're planning on using full size 3/8" shaft potentiometers all the holes on the faceplate and chassis behind it will have to be enlarged (drilled out). I just left the faceplate on while doing it.
