5E3 head ..,
« on: January 07, 2011, 06:59:38 am »
There is an older post from 09 on file... Here is one I didn't see , so thought I'd post some pics. Oversized PT and OT... can use 6l6's and has more headroom...
This is a Fender reverb box from Mojo..
  Light weight and very portable...

That's a nice looking amp a little bit tweed face plate and little bit Silverface/Blackface cab look(no front view?). Different strokes for different folks but part of the 5E3's appeal to me was the low power cleans and breakup with nice bottom especially good for strat/tele/single coil players. This would be taking it to a lot higher volume level with the extra juice, iron and 6L6's. Any reports on sound compared to the original 5E3? Platefire
On the right track now<><

Yeah, my DIY 5F1 Champ has a little hotter iron that allows me to run a 6L6 in it---kinda the same difference. I tried a 6V6 in it but tend to prefer the 6L6. Is that a Jimi T-shirt you wearning? Spent a many hour with Jimi vinyl LP's in my younger days trying to soak up whatever track he was on---got a little:>) Platefire

Thanks for the front view, if Leo had continued the 5E3 into the Blackface Era---it might would have looked something like>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
