5Ar4 wiring twist
« on: January 21, 2011, 07:53:05 pm »
Hi Gent's

I'm in the middle of wiring my Hammond 272 JX PT. I know to twist the red wires going to pin 4 & 6 of the 5ar4. Do I twist the yellow wires going to pin 2 & 8. I would sit and read for the next hour trying to figure it out but I want to get this thing done.

Thanks for any info

Rob

It's considered good practice to twist all AC power wires to increase common mode rejection and in turn reduce the possibility of hum.

so yes.
