Shielded ground wires?
« on: February 25, 2011, 09:41:28 am »
Does shielding the wires that go from caps to ground make any sense? At first I thought no because it's ground but you're shielding the wire that carries all the current. Make any sense?

Never thought of shielding it, but I try to get that wire(s) down on the chassis ASAP.  Same with speaker jack ground which also carries a lot of current.

I just finished a 5f6a. Chased a ton of stuff to make it quiet but the finishing touch was to use a shielded ground wire from the presence pot to PT bolt.
