Need Peavey Classic 75 schematic
« on: March 08, 2011, 08:47:24 pm »
Hi guys,

I'm not 100% sure this is the correct model name, but it's a Peavey Classic and the circuit board has "Classic 75" stampped on it.  It's a older 4x10 combo, has 4 inputs, 2 6L6GC's for power tubes, but solid state pre-amp.  I'm just trying to figure out how to bias it -- a schematic would help :)

Thanks!
Mark.

Hey, I'll watch this thread, because I think I need the same schem.  I've got an Earth Amplification Bassman reissue. It looks like an old tweed Bassman copy, but apparently the circuit was ripped off from Peavey around 1970.  I've seen a couple of very old posts on the internet indicating that it's a direct copy of the Classic 60, and the Classic 75 might actually be identical or almost identical.  I'd really love to get this amp going, but haven't been able to track down the problem.  I think someone fooled around in there at one time, and so I'm thinking it could just be a simple wiring problem, but no schematic to go by.  Anyway, if you find an Earth Amplification schem, you might have the same thing, or vice versa for me.  Mine is a 4x10, has two inputs, but 4 6l6's, same solid state rectification and preamp.

Sounds good.
I did some more poking around the internet and I think this one is just called a "Peavey Classic" or a "Peavey Classic 100"(?).  Here's a link to a picture of one like it.  Sorry for the long link!  I found this on Google.

Mark.
