MAESTRO Fuzz Tone FZ1B
« on: March 09, 2011, 04:20:27 pm »
What a crazy day for me. I just picked this old Gibson fuzz box off CL for $50.00. He said he bought it back in 1968 and was the original owner. It works! Talk about a Funky Groove! When you use this pedal you can picture Goldie Hawn in the cage dancing. Took a few pics as usual /

I believe mine might pre-date this one? I've had it since I was a little kid back in the late 60's/early 70's and just repaired it to it's original glory by changing out two electrolytic caps and a resistor after finding a schem for it online. I was wondering what kind of value it would have and a friend said he heard they were going for $300 - $350?

$250.00-$450.00 depending on the market and how bad someone has to have it. One sold on Epay for $450.00 last month

thanks - I forgot to add a pic last night. It's all dark brown (and the normal amount of slight rustiness) but w/ good Gibson writing, original Gibson knobs, and long grey input chord. It's the one that takes a single AA battery. It's sound is buzzy-raspy like the old Rolling Stones 'Satisfaction' guitar part.
