Tweed BluezMeister Parts list & BOM
« on: March 09, 2011, 08:38:05 pm »
Guys,

Doug created a click on order list for the parts for the Tweed BluezMeister right here:

http://www.hoffmanamps.com/MyStore/perlshop.cgi?action=thispage&thispage=PartsListPage.htm&ORDER_ID=215915251

It's pretty cool because ONE click fills out the order form with everything Hoffman carries for this build!

And the Bill of Materials has been updated in the original SCH thread:

You forgot to list the tubes?

Tubes are listed on the schematic.  12A_7 tubes and either 6V6 or 6L6 or 5881. I find that Geezer has done what I do and experiments alot with different tubes.  This is a very tube tweakable amp.

For example, I can use three 12AX7 tubes for a very very overdriven tone.

Or a 5751, 5751 or 12AY7 (OD) and 12AX7 (LTPI) for a really sweet overdriven tone. This is closer to my tone.

OR a 12AY7, 12AU7 and 12AT7 and then plug in my Larrivee acoustic guitar.

I ended up liking 12ay7 all the way across the board for a great mellow blues sound very clean very sweet. I do have a tube drivin effects loop which could change the drive characteristics somewhat though. Maybe later I will try both a 12ax7 and a 12at7 in the PI originally I think I was putting in a 12ax7 and accidentaly grabbed a 12ay7.
I seem to have purchesed quite a few of these lately.
I have to stay away from auctions and tube sites  :help:
Thanks Bill

Thanks for everything you guys do, work on, and share. The un-selfishness and lack of ego on this board amazes me.

Tapping into the inner tube.
