A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a work station.

One i've seen recently:

TL;DR

"Too Long; Didn't Read"

Which speaks volumes about the youth of today that still feel they can comment on something without having read/seen it. :)

I understand the too long thing.

When I see long post that are one big block, I don't read them.

I like post to be broken up into digestable segments with punctuation and proper spelling (at least make an attempt)

It hurts my brain to look at those giant blocks of text.

could someone come up with a similar list of forum-specific acronyms?
ie, TOS BF SE PP PI ppimv, to name a few.

might be helpful for forum-noobs and the less savvy among us *cough*

thanks,
scott

I've learned over the past few years that if I need to be 'wordy' to the point that my post becomes an essay, I do like you stated and break it down into small paragraphs of specifics.  My emails can get long at times, so I do the same.  They may all wind up being essays, but at least they have points of rest.

Thanks for posting the acronyms.  I'm really bad about catching on.
