OK to use over rated caps?
« on: March 27, 2011, 09:08:01 pm »
Is it OK to use a 20uF/500V cap to replace a 20uF/150V cap?
I have an old amp so I should replace the caps.
I have a couple 20uF/500V can I use them or should I order the 150V caps?

Any difference with going too big?

Hi Jeff,

Physical size may pose an issue, but other than that it is ok.
