There are only 3 or 4 components that will be eliminated. Just use the original Fender layout/schematic and just don't install the second channel components. Do the same if you want to use the Hoffman layout. You might trim off 1/2" board length if you redo the layout. You may want to change the preamp cathode resistor from 820R to 1.5K. Or, just parallel the two triode sections.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Thanks... but should I still go with the huge 250uf on the V1 cathode ?

I did one a couple of years ago that had 1 set of (hi-lo) inputs going to both grids of V1. Each plate from V1 has its own coupling cap and vol pot. The pots are blended back together with 2 x 270k mixing resistors at the grid of the DC-coupled pair (V2). From that point on, its a standard 5F6A (more or less)
A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a work station.

That's a personal call but if you want a 5F6A then leave it. It is a bass amp. Marshall plexi uses a 330uf and 0.68uf.

Worth there are so many variables you can do and all for differant reasons tell us what your trying to get out of it. then we will be able to help you better, every suggestion above is a good one but each was chosen for what they were trying to get out of it.
Do you use pedals, are you going to use it in a high gain application or just fender cleans, with the great warmth this amp lends itself to when driven with a 12ax7 instead of a 12ay7. tell us whats on your mind my friend and we will give you other idea,s.   :think1:
Thanks Bill

Go to the library of information at the top of the page and click on Dougs schematic section find it under fender . chose either the bright or normal channel which ever you like and build the single channel.
If there is not a layout there, i know the schematic is there I just looked it. go to ceriatone.com look at his layout.
Or possibly weber speakers would have the layout under there kit section.
