harp preamp/impedance circuit
« on: July 11, 2011, 11:50:40 am »
One of you guys made a harp preamp a couple of years ago and I was wondering if the circuit was still kicking around.
I had it downloaded at one point but my hard drive crashed a while back and ll was lost :sad2:

I can't remember the name of the guy. Old age is a bitch sometimes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get a second hard drive and/or external hard drive. They're cheap. Under $100 bucks for 1Tbyte. Personal time, research, schematics/layouts, financial spreadsheets, family photos, etc... is all worth much more than the money spent which makes this a "must have" investment. Coincidentally I just backed up Saturday.

p-noodler, if you need anything I'd be happy to help if need be?

I had a 10 year old computer , the first one I ever had and one day I installed a burner to copy everything . before I got around to it the thing was on , all the lights were on and I had a blue screen , couldn't even turn it off . Lost everything in seconds . Now I burn photo's and info to keep it around.

What kind of amp was this preamp circuit on . I did see one for a old champ

Naw,it's not really a preamp it's an anti-feedback circuit that Jukelemon made up.I did find a way to get my files back but I have to wait for my friend the computer wizz to come over.I'll share what I have when I get it.
Me and computers don't like each other at all! Give me a tube or even a solid state guitar amp to work on any day!

phsyconoodler -

Well the next chance I get, I will certainly offer a drachma to the computer gods on your behalf (and ours ). Best of luck on the restoration and thanks for the note!

Hi all.

Just seeing this stuff

I did in deed patent it and am now getting around to selling them to the public.  Already sold several to local harp folks.

They have been very pleased.  Beyond my expectations really.

Figured out a way to get the tube to mount inside the enclosure as opposed to being mounted on the outside.  Big step forward as far as holding up for travel/general performance.

Working on getting the logo printed on the boxes and then the website will go up.  Goal is 4 weeks from now.
However and because this forum has been so good to me, I would be happy to share under the idea of it not being used for resale.

So, shoot me a PM and I will share.

BTW, high class man for honoring my patent.

How does one get a patent, searches I came up with would have me forking out $10k for lawyers fees, unpossible.

A lot of writing and forms.  But really not hard.

250.00 dollars to send it in.

Speaking of harp amps, MWJB over at MEF did a nice low power one with a self-inverting 6SN7 PP output stage. There's a link to a soundbyte clip of it there too. http://music-electronics-forum.com/t31930-post289016/
