« on: August 23, 2011, 02:09:50 pm »

Hey Geezer,

You OK up there????

We felt the earthquake all the way down here in Charlotte, NC!

I've been in a major earthquake living in Taiwan many many yrs ago, so I am wondering how you guys are doing up there?

Doug,  did you feel the quake in Asheville?

Jeff

Felt it in Vermont!
My son who experienced the March 11th earthquake in Japan basically laughed at it.

News says it was felt in Maine. I felt nothing; however just about that same moment the brakes in the minivan went out. (Actually I was probably on a bad road at the time of the quake: faraway 5.9 has nothing on the Bayside Road potholes.)

Pulled in line at the gas pump, fine. Put it in park. Went to put it back in drive, the brake pedal felt way low. It had brakes and fluid so I drove to my next stop, but something wrong for-sure. Nose-dive, chirp. Nice puddle under the rear axle.

I didn't feel anything
My Neighbor came over and told me he saw it on the news

I thought the dogs would have barked or something.

It happened at 1:51 according to CNN

Hope we hear from Geezer soon!  He has got to be pretty close to where it happened?

Jeff
