anti-pop resistor value ?

I'm using a switch on my 5F2A on the cathode cap on V1... right now I've got a 100K across the switch to prevent pop. Does the 100K affect the tone/gain ?  I'm wondering if there is a smaller value that would do the job. I know , I know.. see for myself , but I'm just wondering if I can get an opinion before I remove the chassis, etc.

100k - 1/4w is what I use.

The cathode cap bypasses a cathode resistor.

Make the pop-drain resistor 10X to 100X the size of the cathode resistor. This will have insignificant effect either way.

Assuming 1.5K, then use 15K-150K.

100K seems a perfect value.

Why would you want to change it? Is it not draining quick enough?

The 100K should not have an affect on tone or gain. it should be invisible to the circuit when operating.

Lower values than what PRR stated (15k) would have a perceptible impact on tone and gain.
