Marshall DSL Effects Loop Return Jack (Isolated Switching)
« on: October 30, 2011, 02:58:12 pm »
I've included the schematic for the page I'm referencing but the whole schematic can be found on Doug's site here:
http://www.el34world.com/charts/Schematics/files/marshall/jcm2000_100w_dsl100.pdf

I'm sure knowing the issues I've read about with the Effects Loops on these that someone has come up with a better way to replace the return jack from that Jalco jack/switch JS6 to a more common less problematic jack.  The send jack the switching isn't doing anything on the schematic so it not a problem.  The return jack on the other hand I'm trying to find a way to isolate the upper switching on JS6 since I don't want any part of the plug to enter in either of those paths that are normally closed when no plug is inserted (when inserted it just opens up that connection and they go nowhere).  Whereas the lower switching could be switch like a regular switching jack using the tip (inserting a plug would remove the connection to ring and pick up the signal from the tip to go in right before R35).

I'm just trying to find a solutions without having to add some external switch.

Thanks Scott...
Even my coffee maker runs on EL-34's, the best cup of coffee you've ever tasted!
