Attention Tampa
« on: December 01, 2011, 12:32:37 pm »
Sad news, the only decent electronic parts store (I know of) in the Tampa area is closing its doors.

Practical Electronics has had my back many times for sundry small parts, power resistors, heat shrink, terminal strips, op amps, LEDs, caps, soldering tips, pots, fuses, etc. etc., that I just had to have to finish the build. They are a great little mom & pop store, it's a real shame they can't keep going.

If anybody on the forum lives in the Tampa area, stop in & give Gypsy the dachshund a scratch behind the ears. I guarantee they will have something you need. Plus 10% off everything. Their last day is 12/22.

6205 E. Hillsborough Ave
Tampa FL 33610
(813) 628-9790

BTW, I am not affiliated with them in any way, just grateful they were there.

To Bad but you are blessed they was open this long. The day of that kind of electronic store is all but gone except for a few in the larger cities with the exception of Radio Shack and their usful parts are very limited. On our local RS, I find they are not even restocking parts I was using from them--so I don't even bother going by anymore. Now it's Doug first and then AES. Platefire
On the right track now<><

Anyone with a dog in the shop is A-okay! Sorry to hear you're losing such a good supplier. Here in Westminster we got nuttin but RS, which has been good for some things so I shouldn't whine.
Tapping into the inner tube.
