The New Peavey Classic 30
« on: December 09, 2011, 07:32:39 pm »
Peavey Classic 30. I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to look inside the chassis and board to see if they are pretty much the same as the 90's Classic 30

Transformers? Hardware? Board?

I have a chance to buy one cheap but i dont want to chance it just yet until i get some input

I can't tell you about the board---but cheap overrules a lot of issues especially if it's working and the price is right--go for it! How many tube amps do you need, just one more! Platefire
On the right track now<><

I have a friend that used to work there... it would have to be dirt cheap. They use really cheap china
iron now. All three irons (power, choke, output) in one of their 100W amps was less than $25. For all
three! (yes, they purchase a lot, but I mean, that is ridiculous).

The old classic 30 and 60 were a good amp, stay away from any Peavey with the Molex connectors
inside the amp... notorious for problems.
