Thinking of building an AC30 head...a few questions
« on: April 04, 2012, 06:56:38 pm »
Hi guys,

Ok, other than working on a couple repairs I know zip about Vox amps.  I have a request to build a couple "AC30 clones in  head format".  Is there a layout for the AC 30 circuit that doesn't necessarily have to be in that funky Vox multi-chassis form?  I'd love to just build this in a simple chassis like a Marshall or Fender type design.  I'd appreciate anyones input (and patience with my ignorance on all things Vox).

Thanks!
Mark.

I drew this one (14.375" x 3.125") :

I have stopped being surprised at the guitar player who spends $3,000 on the latest boutique amplifier, and plugs in his Mexican Stratocaster strung with light gauge strings through a Big Muff Pi fuzz pedal.
