tweed-type tone control used for a guitar

Has anyone tried using this kind of tone control in a guitar before? I'm just curious what the result was if so?

Something like this. I know it loads down the guitar pickup but if a humbuckers were used in a Strat for example, that may not matter so much? If it could be switched out of circuit via the lift then you'd also get a fully un-loaded & clean powerful signal option this way too.

Try it. the 500pF cap only does something when the vol. is rolled back a little though. When the vol.s on 10 the cap is shorted out.

If it were me I'd switch the 500pF and wire. So the wiper of the tone goes to the top of the vol.(where the 500pF is now) and the 500pF goes to the vol.'s wiper. Plus depending on how yours is wired it's as simple as adding the cap. But I usually play on 10 all the time so...

No more that your stock controlls. If you do it this way using your stock tone and vol pot it'll be just like how it is now with an adjustable "bright" cap.
