Allman Bros Whipping Post
« on: April 17, 2012, 12:04:13 am »
I've mentioned this site before, but I absolutely love it!  I am a big fan of live concerts and Wolfgangs Vault is packed full of video and audio of all the old bands I remember seeing live and some new ones too.  Great stuff.  One of my fav AB tunes, back in 1970.  Amazing stuff.

Enjoy,
Jim

What!? Absolutely not a hint of flaming Marshalls or hurled Strats....BORING!  :icon_biggrin:

No really, great stuff! ABB is one of my all time favs, & the Fillmore East stuff is recognized as some of their best....thx for posting it (& reminding of that website)

One of my all-time favorite albums!

Ooops, that dates me a bit, eh?

How could a man so young have so much soul?

Double ooops - this was recorded in September 1970, not March 1971 (the album).  Didn't take long to pick up little differences.

We have proven once again no plan survives contact with the enemy, or in this case, with the amp.

Have you guys noticed my avatar? A pic of me(right), Dickie Bettes(middle), and my buddy on the left. I built my first amp around the ABB tone. Long live the Brothers!
