Switching between two tone stacks

I looking for a way of switching between two totally separate tone stacks.  I searched and didn't find anything like it, unless I just searched for the wrong thing.  Anyway, this is what I came up with.  I'm concerned about audible clicks though.  Any suggestions there?  Or am I way off base to begin with?

I think your idea will work and I like it.

Here is another one that switches from a tone stack after the first triode to one after a cathode follower

And sometime back I drew up one that used switches to go from Fenderish tone stack to Marshallish by paralleling caps and resistors but I can't currently fine it.

Thanks John & Tubenit. I did happen to see the one suggested by John (I searched for over two hours), but that one uses two different cathodes and I want mine to use the same one. Do either of you see any problem with audible clicks?

Here is the other idea but I honestly did not study it well enough to be sure I drew it correctly.

I don't know if there would be an audible click?  ARe you planning on using relay switching?

As drawn, your 2 tonestacks have the same topology.  In that case only component values would differ.  So, it would probably be simpler to make switchable: the top tone cap; and/ or a resistor to ground under the mid pot (or RAW control). There are other ground lifting schemes posted on the Forum.  That would probably get you where you want to go, unless you want completely different circuit topologies.

Hi jjasilli. The tone stacks in the drawing are only representations to describe the overall idea, it's not specifically about the components.  In fact, it's about using two separate yet identical tone stacks so the same "channel" can allow two different sounds without having to use a second full-blown channel.

Hmmm....I wonder if simply switching the slope resistor would be an easier,less invasive idea to get you two different sounds?That way it takes up less room and is easier to implement with a relay and footswitch.
I don't see the value in two completely different tonestacks as drawn.You are simply shifting the frequency,right?
  I find the Marshall cathode follower tone stack to be rather ineffective.I much prefer the plate driven one.I just like the idea of a frequancy shift.
 Dumble went further by adding rock/jazz and mid-boost switches to the existing stack and also an HRM stack for the overdrive channel.Silly to put it inside the chassis however.
  Find the frequencies that you want to alter and switch in a slope,mid or deep shift.No?

No? No. :) I'm talking about different sounds as in more bass and/or cut highs and/or lower volume on one setting than the other. Things like that. I'm not concerned about more controls. I like controls. LOL!
