« on: October 14, 2012, 03:17:17 pm »
I've just read about a guy who is building a "clone" of the De' Armond tremolo unit

and I liked it very much

http://www.guitargear.net.au/discussion/index.php/topic,32154.0.html

here a bit of documentation about this kind of unit

http://www.danformosa.com/dearmond.html

the inner workings of the DeArmond tremolo, made in 1946. (1)

and a sound clip here

One of my clients gave me one of those units last year as a gift.  Someone gave it to him years ago. It was a fun  project to get back running.  Can`t get any more analog than that.  It does suck treble from the signal though.   Need a looper switch pedal to turn effect on or off for convenience.
