« on: October 21, 2012, 07:15:18 am »
Quick question,
How would 4 6v6'v in PPP like an output transformer with a primary of 6.6K?
Thanks,
Ernie

IMO there is no problem , Hammond transformer recommend  5K to 8K for 2 tubes , so 4 tubes and 6.6K will work with less power than lower primary.

Can I say you put 2 tubes for nothing ?

Why "ppp" for Push Pull ?

Hi ernie_jr

Push pull are always in pair.    But pair are not always push pull.

Your projet is PPQ

Push Pull Quad !  ; )

PPP = Parallel Push Pull or Paralleled Tubes Push Pull

so PPP = more than 2 tubes = 4 tubes - 6 tubes - 8 tubes and so on

----

PSE = Parallel Single Ended or Paralleled Tubes Single Ended

so PSE = more than 1 tube = 2 tubes - 3 tubes - 4 tubes and so on

3k3 to 4k would be more optimal for a parallel push-pull quad (  :l2: ) of 6V6s
A bus stops at a bus station. A train stops at a train station. On my desk, I have a work station.
