Fun with an Octaver

Since there was a bit of interest in Octavia type pedals,
I threw this short diddy together to demo the Octaver in Guitar Rig 5

It's a really cool effect and you can set it up a ton of different ways

The guitar gets such a deep throaty tone with the Octaver
There are two knobs on it and you can set two different pitches besides the main dry pitch

It's a lot of fun to play with

Do I need an interface?.....or can I just plug straight into my souncard?

I guess for the money, having the foot controller is the ticket (built in interface)

I bought the stand alone version without the NI controller
I use behringer FCB 10100 to switch presets and the expression pedals

You need a good USB2 or firewire external sound card with ASIO drivers
Or a good internal sound card with ASIO drivers

Eternal cards are nice cuase you get all the input and output jacks

You also need some sort of pre-amp
I use a tube preamp but you can also use a pedal that has a preamp in and a true bypass

I have used simple ones like Soundblaster Audigy ZS
M-audio fast track ultra
Current card is a echo Mia which has been discontinued

I'll read up a bit, try the demo, look into a divorce lawyer, and hope for the best.

It's hard to gather anything from the demo because they used to only give you 30 minutes
It's impossible to explore it in 30 minutes

maybe thay have change the time limit?

tell the wife a divorce will cost a bunch more than 199 and you'll have 5x the fun at 1/10th of the price! so, don't worry, be happy. this is the place where you duck if she likes to throw heavy objects.
