Silvertone 1484 death cap and 3 prong plug
« on: February 09, 2013, 09:22:11 am »
Hi All!

I just pickup this mint 1484.   The only thing I want to do is put in a 3 prong plug and removed the death cap.

Can someone point in this picture which side is hot (black).  The modern replacement is color coded, the old one is all the same color.  I know the green goes to the transformer bolt.

Also, is the big yellow cap the death cap?

Thanks!

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!
