Vox VT120+ Schematic
« on: April 23, 2013, 03:38:04 pm »
Hello, everyone.  Haven't been able to post in a very long while.  Busy year so far.  And, it may let up until June.  Then, I can get back to my projects.

A friend of mine at work asked me today if I knew where to find a schematic for his Vox VT120+ amp.  He wants to add an FX loop to it, and hasn't been able to find a schematic.  I briefly searched during break, today.  Have not been able to come up with one.  Could someone please steer me to a link, or email a copy that they may have.  I'm satisfied that it is very modern and a hybrid amp.  He has a good technical background and can follow the signal path well enough.  Thanks for any help.

have you found this schematic? I researched this and found it is a modeling amp , I am really surprised it doesn't have a FX loop already?

Thanks for the followup.  I'm having a much busier year than expected, but I'm dropping in regular.  Just no real work of my own going on.

As it turns out, he trashed the amp, as it was too expensive to repair.  He took it to a local amp tech and got disenchanted.  I helped him build a JCM800 in the cab, with him doing the work and me on the other end of email and phone.

He's hooked.  His first amp build, and he's stoked.  He is an active lead guitarist, now in a new band.  They love his playing, and the rhythm guitarist is jealous of his killer homebuilt.

I'll try to have something to contribute on my other ongoing projects, when work and mowing grass allows.  I'm doing lots of CAD schematics, of things that I want to build.  And, some of the old orphan amps that I've managed to acquire, that have no schematics.  Other than that, I'm just a fly on the wall.  Thanks again, for responding back.  Have a good one.
