My dad would have dug that!  He played Hawaiian slide on the Supro resonator that I inherited.  Great stuff - reminds me of years gone by!

Just don't have the time to pursue it the way I should.
I am considering it my "retirement instrument"......maybe in 20 years I can get really good at it.

Yupe, them tickets are not cheap.
I've been going back, by myself, about every 3 years.
Now with the family, I don't know when the next time will be.

Oh yeah, I'll never sell that.  Made in 1938 and I still have the pop up nut for slide work, and a couple of packs of Black Diamond strings!!!  It sounds fantastic.  I started plinking on this guitar when I was about 5.  It had what seemed like bailing wire for strings!  The action is pretty high anyway, so my fingers were always killing me.  I'm surprised I stuck with it!  I have a huge library of Hawaiian music on 33 and 78.  I love slack-key and slide.  My wife just shakes her head when the next cd is Black Sabbath
