no holes drilled for p.u. split switch, or?

tried to upload this a while ago but think comp. got  shut down 1st. came up with this mod yrs. ago, and maybe everybody does it, but maybe it'll help someone. I know these little guys(switches) are a lot cheaper than push/pull.

I originally found, and personally prefer the old push,push... Yamaha/Ibanez style, but they're hard to come by. Think someone is making them again, but heard $'s....

Depending on knob type, they can be a real pain to pull up live...(the pull up kind of course)....These can be installed in 1/2hr for a buck. 2 bucks for cheapie ring, and 335, L.P. whatever is left intact. 1 in each ring, or both in 1(use thin wire). yrs later, hundreds of gigs, they've lasted.

pick area, cut hole w/coping saw, or small drill&file, scuff up area to be glued, clean w/alcohol,or sparingly w/solvent, (careful  not to melt, or craze plastic. glue. some cheapie rings are better than others, because switch frame w/hole,will actually wedge into/in between ring, and plastic surround of pickup mounting hole, making a tight fit, but not mandatory. Obviously crazy glue is not good inside switch and it might help to lube up switch inside prior to scuffing & cleaning  inside.
keep on with those scales and that fish is gonna die, if it don't bite you first!

never fried a tranny ..till I built a dim bulb tester. UPDATE-haven't fried anything since learning how to properly build & use one...thanks Uncle Doug, & el34 World
