jazz/blues

Used the D'Mars ODS on clean.  Trying to learn how to play a little better in a laid back jazz style and not overplay anything. I wanted a lot of space between the notes.

Not that great, but I had fun trying it.

That was COOL!  However, whoever that keyboard player is - he needs to go DOWN!  What was with that bridge in the middle?!?!  I know they think they are cool and jazzy hanging on a chord that is totally out of wack on the progression.. :BangHead:  You did good to stay with it!  Some very humble advice, use all the strings.  Listen to how meaty and sweet that one run sounded starting off on the low E (I'm guessing?).  Build down low and make your point up high.  Not that I follow any of my own advice - ever.  Do as I say! Not as I do!

Very well done!  I love that smokey jazz!

Thanks guys!

Good advice, Jim.  I should've used more strings with it for sure.  Playing didn't have enough variety in it to stay very interesting, really.

I think I used the neck pickup (StewMac) and then the bridge/middle as you correctly guessed (Fast Track 1 &  Air Classic).

This guitar actually has hollow sides.  Swamp ash back, quilt maple top.

Gettin' dangerously close to those L.Carlton  clean tones, and heck yeah, the space between the notes is just as important as the notes are!.

Sorta like the joke about the 2 bulls on the hill......'let's mosey on down, and play em all', ............to sort of bend that old joke to fit.

plus, it must be good if  Major Marshall  likes it,...(sorry R 800!) cause that looks quite Tele like to me.
keep on with those scales and that fish is gonna die, if it don't bite you first!

never fried a tranny ..till I built a dim bulb tester. UPDATE-haven't fried anything since learning how to properly build & use one...thanks Uncle Doug, & el34 World
