Electrolytic Capacitor Question
« on: January 04, 2014, 04:03:35 am »
In you have an application that requires a cathode bypass cap for 25/25 but you use a 25/35 or 25/50, as I recall the extra voltage capacity has no effect on its ability to perform the same task in that location-----right? Higher is OK, just don't go lower---this is what I think I remember, somebody please verify--before I install. Platefire

You are correct.
Some of the most amazing music in history was made with equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

Yes Higher is ok .

Sometimes higher voltage capacitor are bigger and more expensive, not always . I bought some Sprague  25 mfd 50 volts cheaper than the 25 volts .
