THere is no video on this one, but there is a good back story. I bought my Major from this guy. The link is for one of the guy's albums and you can play snippets of it, to give you an idea of his style. The album was recorded with my amp. He bought "my" amp from Buddy Miles, so there is some cool history behind it! On this album he recorded Hey Joe with Buddy. This was Miles last recording before he died. The guitar player is obviously a great player with a good voice. However, he had me so peeved by the time we finished our transaction, I was ready to drive down to Texas. When he sent me pics of the amp, I could see the caps were taking a crap and used that issue in my price haggling. Other than that, it was very clean and I had Ritchie's amp tech verify it too. Well, before I could say NOOOOOO! He sent the amp to SRV's amp tech, since he was the only guy he knew that worked on Majors. So now I'm thinking, how bad can that be. After he received my payment with specific instructions on how to ship it and how much to insure it for, I got 200 excuses on why he could not get to UPS for almost 3 weeks. It finally arrived in a beat up box with no insurance. Fortunately no damage but when I opened it up (after seeing the same bad caps still mounted), I found a stupid cap farm on fish paper with 16 gallons of silicon goo inside. It took me days to scrap it all out and do it right. And after all that effort, he had left the death cap still connected.... There is so much I would like to say right now, but I will take the high road. SO, long story short, here is another great blues player that can be lumped into the SRV clone club - maybe undeservedly. Oh, he sold the Major because he said it was way too loud and he needed money to buy a new boutique amp he had ordered. I'm still pissed, so I refuse to post his name. Yes I am immature and petty. He didnt deserve....my precious....
