First, there are very, very few good deals in GCtr. It's definitely not a good deal in my opinion. It may be what they go for...but the idea of paying $400 for a record player amp with an 8" speaker...is just impossible for me to comprehend.

While owning a REAL GENUINE FENDER Champ may give one a nice warm feeling....where can you use a Champ? In your bedroom? OK, fine. In your bedroom, I contend that there's very little discernable difference between solid state and tube other than pure fetishism. In a venue, a room where you are playing out...OK, fine, there is a definite difference in the sound texture. In your bedroom? Wouldn't you rather have a $100 Peavey amp or you can even buy little SS Fender amps with reverb and headphone outs and recording outs....and maybe modeling stuff so you can sound like a Marshall stack?

Maybe you WOULDN'T "rather own it" but please, isn't an expendable little piece of junk about 50x as useful as a Champ?

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.
