Just got back from a well deserved vacation to see the Mouse in Orlando. Every spring around this time EPCOT has their Flower and Garden Festival. During this time they have their "Flower Power Concert Series". I've seen some really good acts from the 60's and early 70's over the years as we always go down there during this time. Well, we hit the jackpot this year as Alan Parsons was there. What a legend in engineer/producing (Beatles, Pink Floyd Dark Side, Al Stewert, Hollies, Paul McCartney, etc.) and his prog band is awesome. It was a short set, but long enough to play most of the hits. When they played Sirius/Eye in the Sky, Alan came to the mic and said, "Yeah, that was us..." I think he is even sick of the the Chicago Bulls theme song! Games People Play, Time, Wouldn't Want to be Like You, Don't Answer Me (was AWESOME!), and my fav below that first made me a fan, Dr. Tarr. The band was VERY tight and the 5 part harmonies on several songs were spot on. Great groove and you could tell they were having a good time. The next day I saw him with his family at Hollywood Studios. For those of you familiar with Disney World, it was kind of funny seeing him with 3D glasses on getting ready to blast away in Toy Story Mania! I wanted to hang out at the exit since we were getting off as he was getting on, and get a pic with him, but my wife threatened me with life and limb because we had another FastPass that was ready to run out.
