Building a scratch build.
« on: June 06, 2014, 01:05:27 pm »
Hi Folks I am silat and I am new here. I cannot read schematics but I hope to learn soon.  I was wondering if anyone has layout information for a scratch build for the type of parts I have. I have an extra board with the caps and resisters for a 5e3 Clone that I have built from the layout I got from mojotone. I have a PT and OT for Princeton champ type trans. Anyone have any suggestions? Just Keep In mind I will need a detailed layout and a parts list. I know it is asking a lot. But I would appreciate any help....

 Thank you in advance!

Silat

You should be able to adapt that board for a Princeton 5F2-A amp. Schematic and layout is all over the web. I would start by comparing the 5E3 and 5F2-A layouts.
A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

I just found Classic-tone 40-18017 power transformer also that I had hidden around but I am afraid my Output trans is too small for anything else but the Princeton 5f2-A. to go with my princeton type power trans But hey they sound pretty good.
