I'm well satisfied with all the underside hardware/configuration of the first board, so there will be little change from that when building this one. However, the topside can be simplified, and boards can have a more standard sizing. This enables them to be moved around with each concept and design.
I've included an initial drawing of said simplification. Dimensions will be added as the plan evolves. The socket boards have a little more spacing between. The pull-through holes are located to correspond to each pin. One board is left empty, for power supply modeling without the use of canned capacitors. And, any Solid State rectifiers can be built there, as well.
When I'm out in the shop, I will take measurements on the two rails, to transfer to this drawing. I am satisfied with their dimensions and position on the panel.
I like where my OT taps are placed on the topside, as well as the position of the PT/Filament Secondaries. So, they will closely mimic the first. And, I will find a place for a lone barrier terminal strip at the end of the layout board, for use as a place to land the PT Secondary, or B+ from the Rectifier tube or SS.
I will spend more time with the first Breadboard, for awhile. And, document my first experiments in my Russian tube thread:
http://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=16893.0But, I started this one, to have a place to document the planning of this next board build. Expect it to last through the Summer, as we are well into June. The attached drawing will more than likely retain the same revision. But, I will give a heads-up when it does change, and replace the original drawing.
