Is the russian 6J32P an EF86 correspondent tube ?
« on: September 17, 2014, 06:26:15 pm »
The only datasheet of the 6J32P tube I've found is in russian

and I'm not able to establish if this tube is really corresponding to the EF86 tube

looking to the curves someone is able to say something about this tube ?

(I'm still not able to read curves  :sad2: )

Thanks

K

Pin-out is the same
Tube characteristic numbers look the same

Many Thanks Tubeswell

So this will be the next tube I'll ask to find on the cheap for me to a radio amateur friend Hungarian

that I meet here in Italy at international Ham flea market

Thanks again

Franco

It's probably close enough, though it claims slightly lower Gm (which also equals less gain in pentode mode).

Triode curves are similar, but again less current for same bias and plate/screen voltage, which also points to slightly lower Gm. However, individual tubes could be close enough to real-deal EF86 to not make a difference if swapped in the same socket.

Some russian vendors (in their web ads) say that the tube is the same of Svetlana EF86

and link to this datasheet (for the 6J32P)

Thanks HotBluePlates

In any event, gm and ra are things you can tweak in a pentode by changing Vg2, so you ought to be able to set it up to work pretty much the same as an EF86

What I meant is that I don't believe much to what say Russians sellers and I asked here to know what is the reality about this tube

Many Thanks for the explanations
