They work just fine. I don't think they are anything special. I've seen many in old transistor applications but I've only seen a few in tube applications. I don't recall seeing any in a high voltage circuit such as plate couplers. Here's a pic of two in my Sunn Sceptre. Both are cathode bypass caps, ie, low voltage circuit.

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Hey Sluckey, These are used in the holden wasp ( although the few gut shots have a mixture of allsorts)and because I have to replace the Ecaps I need to remove the PCB. I was thinking while I have the boards out I would replace other components while I'm at it.
The one thing I find with these amps is some of the components are either cheap or under size for the job.
Wanting add an OVERDRIVE and to keep things looking uniform I googled them and most came up as 250v and compared to the mustards I've been looking for they are mostly under $1 and plentyfull, so i'll take that as they aren't very sort after. Thanks

I like them in vintage style wah's, doubt I'd put them in an amp.

May be the 715P Orange Drop can fit the same space, shape is similar

However they aren't electrolytics and I think that if you can find it with the necessary voltage rating you can use it
