66 Vibrolux tube socket problem evolved to "low" volume problem
« on: December 11, 2014, 11:10:31 am »
I got this 66 Vibrolux working with your guys help.  It worked fine for a couple of months, then it started cutting out.  As I checked things, I would move the phase inverter AT7 around and get a lot of noise.  I could get the amp to come in and out right there.  Also some of the same type stuff with the AX7 right next to it...but that Ax7 noise is just gone.

Back to the AT7.

I cleaned it, checked it, tightened the pin holders...a couple of times.  Tried different tubes.  It would work pretty good if I squirmed it around just right.

Now after a while of using it messed up I get no sound. So, I took the tube socket out, checked it and resoddered everything.  Now I get a "clear" signal but it is very very low just a couple of notches above a whisper.  What do I need to do to get this working?

Thanks,
Terry
