Mounting Hardware for mounting reverb tank to chassis
« on: March 31, 2015, 02:00:49 pm »
Hello I'm looking for a source for mounting hardware that has a rubber grummet, inside hollow post that won't let screw tighten to tight, or mount on standoffs. but still allows tank housing to be able to "float" as in not solidly bolted down. I'm sure someone out there knows where to go. Thanks, "Whipe1out" a resonse here is good or emailme at kl2mcbride@gmail.com

Grommets are available at AES if they didn't come installed on the tank. I used long 10-32 screws secured to the chassis with kep nuts. Then I used a second set of nuts with nylon inserts (locking bushings). Here are some pics...

A schematic, layout, and hi-rez pics are very useful for troubleshooting your amp. Don't wait to be asked. JUST DO IT!

Now there's a perfect example of a collection of hardware you could really spend a totally silly amount of time putting together. I wish I had a coherent source for you.

Thanks Guys, sounds good. found some rubber grommets with bushings from mcmasters. btween what I've just learned here and there I think I've got it covered. Building from scratch a Rack mountable reverb unit. Slightly different tank drive circuit.

I just put a new tank in a Kustom K-200.  The one I ordered came with rubber grommets, nylon bushings, flat washers and new screws that worked perfectly.  All I had to do was cut a piece of cardboard to cover the open side and tape it securely.  It hangs over the inside of the chassis from two cross members.  Much better made than the original that was shot.  Jim
